This ethnic babouche from Tafraoute is undoubtedly one of the most original, with its small, colorful tassels and delicate embroidery. This rare model is only made in Tafraoute, a small mountain town in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, located 180 km south of Agadir. The high heel tab is typical of babouches from this hilly region. Originally, it provided better foot support and protected the Achilles tendon during mountain hikes. These babouches are made entirely of leather. The upper and heel are lined with leather for greater comfort. This magnificent babouche can be worn both indoors and outdoors thanks to its thick, glued and stitched sole. It will provide you with a perfect balance between lightness, comfort, and robustness. Each piece is entirely handmade in Tafraout.
