A frugal man is high on my list of people hard to gift. He will either complain about the price of the gift or worry about you spending money needlessly. My love language is gift-giving, and I often try to balance between following a frugal man’s wishes and fulfilling my need to show my affection. If you feel the same way, these are some great gift ideas for him.
One way to overcome this barrier is to go for functional gifts. If he realizes he needs the gift, he will overlook the price. He may not even mention wastage when he realizes how helpful it will be. This customized leather card holder is one of my go-to gifts for a frugal man. It is made of high-quality leather, it’s affordable, and has enough space for at least three cards. You can also personalize it on one or both sides to make the gift more meaningful.
This leather desk mat is another great gift that a frugal man will appreciate. It is functional, non-slip, easy to clean, and durable. You can also get it in different sizes, so you can always say you went for a smaller, cheaper size if he starts complaining about the price:) You can also get it in his favorite color, at least from the options available (black, blue, cinnamon, dark brown, light brown, red, and green).
You also won’t go wrong with this personalized dad keychain. It is a budget-friendly gift, yet it is made from full-grain horse-distressed leather and will last a long time. It is also comfortable to use and has a large engraving area (0.8” x 2.4”/2cm x 6cm). You can choose to engrave on one or both sides.
